This Privacy Policy explains how Silly Prompter, published by Shalli Ben Moshe ("we"), handles information when you use the Android app.
Information and features
- Camera and microphone: The app requests access to your device camera and microphone to record videos and support voice features. Camera and microphone access is controlled by Android permissions. The app does not record a video until you choose to record.
- Scripts and recent texts: Scripts and a limited set of recent texts are saved in app storage on your device so you can continue your work. You can clear saved texts within the app. Uninstalling the app normally removes its private app data.
- Video recordings: Recorded videos can be previewed in the app. Videos are saved to the device's media gallery when you select SAVE VIDEO. You can manage or delete exported videos using your device's gallery or file manager.
- Voice dictation: Speech recognition uses Android's speech-recognition services. Depending on your device, settings and speech-service provider, audio may be processed locally or sent to that provider to recognize your words. That processing is governed by the provider's terms and privacy policy.
- Text-to-speech: LISTEN uses Android's text-to-speech engine. Depending on your installed engine and settings, text processing may involve the engine provider. Available voices and languages depend on your device.
Data collection and sharing
The current app is not designed to operate a developer-controlled account, cloud script library, advertising service, or analytics backend. We do not intentionally upload your scripts or recorded videos to a server operated by us. Android speech recognition and text-to-speech providers may process information as described above; we do not control their independent practices.
Data retention and deletion
Scripts and recent texts remain in app storage until you clear them or remove the app. Videos you explicitly save to the gallery remain under your device's control and are not automatically deleted by clearing app data. For any processing performed by third-party Android voice-service providers, consult the provider's privacy information and deletion controls.
Children
Silly Prompter is a general-purpose content creation tool and is not specifically designed for children. Parents and guardians should supervise children's use of device camera, microphone and speech services where appropriate.
Security and permissions
We rely on Android's permission system and app-private storage. No method of electronic storage or service processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You can revoke microphone or camera access in Android settings; corresponding features may stop working.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
