A quick guide to writing, rehearsing and recording with Silly Prompter.
Write or paste a script
Tap the main text area to type or paste a script. Scroll through it with your finger. Use the navigation arrows to move between text screens and access recent scripts from Settings.
Listen to your text
Tap LISTEN to hear your script through your Android device's text-to-speech engine. Available languages and voices depend on the speech engine installed on your device. PAUSE stops playback; RESUME continues.
Dictate changes
Use Speak to Type for voice dictation. Recognition accuracy varies with language, device, noise and the speech service.
Change how the prompter looks
In SETTINGS, use TEXT SIZE to change the font size and VOICE SCROLL SPEED to adjust voice-responsive scrolling. You can also enable left-handed controls. Rotate the phone for landscape use.
Record your take
Use CAMERA to switch between cameras, REC to begin recording and STOP to finish. Review the recorded video; choose Back to return or SAVE VIDEO to export it to your gallery.
If voice is not working
Check microphone permissions, media volume, Bluetooth output and installed Android speech voices. Some languages require downloading additional voice data.
